In year 1, CCF is focused on the development of a veteran center, to be located (discussing) in Newtown Park, Veterans Memorial Walk, Johns Creek, GA
Plans for the facility already exist. Cost estimates for facilities and programs for CCF are $4.5M. The facility would be located in Newtown Park, in the Veterans Memorial Walk, positioned to face the half-scale model of the Vietnam Wall. The facility will serve 4 distinct purposes and functions
OFFICE/EVENT SPACE
First and foremost, provide a permanent home and office/event space for the Johns Creek Veterans Association, JCVA, with its 140 members.

Provide Two (2) new offices for the Ga Dept of Veterans Services (GDVS) to support the more than 26,000 veterans already identified in the latest (2020) Census Bureau survey of N Fulton and S Forsyth counties.

Create a military museum (Donations already being offered of military equipment)

SPECIAL EVENTS FACILITY
A special event space to accommodate up to 290 persons which will be showcased by an seasoned special events coordinator who has local, state and national connections with NACE, the national organizational association for special events.
Facility Operations
Once completed, the facility would be operated by CCF who would staff and run operations. The funds created by use of the Special Events facility would be used to work with multiple other identified veterans groups targeting area veterans with needed help.
